LEUKOS "supercontinuum" sources are based on the development and use of new generation optical fibres.
These waveguides enable an extreme confinement of the electromagnetic field and a high frequency conversion efficiency by means of nonlinear effects. The interaction of the light delivered by a high power pump laser with the material constituting the fibre permits to generate a multitude of wavelengths (supercontinuum) from the ultraviolet to the infrared.
Our supercontinuum sources cover wavelengths from UV (320 nm) to NIR (2800 nm), with different modes of operation: picosecond, subnanosecond, nanosecond pulsewidth and pulse on demand (10Hz) or quasi-continuous wave (MHz range).
The desired spectral band as well as the spatial profile of the fibre output beam can be adapted to the targeted application.
